Madrid Network – The Network of Clusters and Technological Parks in Madrid, is an umbrella organisation including more than 750 members. Founded in 2007 by the Regional Government (Regional Ministry for Economy and Treasury), it is the public-private organisation in charge of implementing and developing the Clusters policy in the region. The Network comprises 12 Clusters and 5 Technological Parks, covering the most relevant and strategic sectors in Madrid Region, and involving all kind of players in the region’s economy: large and small businesses, research centres, universities and technology centres.
Madrid Network manages the services of the Cluster for Renewable Energies and Sustainability, a non-profit organization that aims to be a leading player in Madrid region (Spain) and internationally, in terms of innovation, training and the development of a business environment within the Renewable Energies, the Energy Efficiency and the Sustainability sectors.
Madrid Network is member of Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), a key instrument of the European Commission in the EU’s strategy to boost growth and jobs. Bringing together close to 600 business support organisations from more than 50 countries, Enterprise Europe Network supports small business in the EU Single Market.
Madrid Network has been involved in the EEN-cluster working group and currently is a Cluster Contact Point within EEN and member of the European Cluster Alliance (ECA).
Madrid Network is the Madrid Regional node of PIDI Network (Points of Information on Research, Development and Innovation Activities), run and coordinated by the Center for Industrial Technological Development –CDTI- (Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness).
Madrid Network is a key-player in the policy-making process at regional level (development of the Madrid Region Clusters’ policy and RIS 3 -Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialisation- in Madrid Region, for instance).
