Abstract
The article presents innovation perspectives of dairies in Poland and in Lodz region in particular. It describes energy potential of the dairy industry and recommends directions of its development. The fact that the dairy industry does not always have to be associated with the continued demand for the energy, but it can also become energy producer is emphasized. It analyses biogas and photovoltaic solutions available to individual companies, which have already been tested on a global scale.
