Abstract
The article describes the potential uses of biomass Lemnaceae as a possible material for the development of renewable energy. In the first part of the paper, the authors analyze the causes of eutrophication as a process of enrichment of water that promotes development of potential energy substrates. Next, the role of macrophytes in restoring the ecological balance of freshwater ecosystems is analyzed. Finally, the characteristics of the family Lemnaceae as the potential biofuel are presented.
