Bioenergy for the Region and RENREN project

Project “RENREN” financed by EU is trying to evaluate, how regional authorities may contribute to EU policy in the field of renewable energy sources. RENREN will allow determining actions that need to be taken in order to improve legal framework regarding development of renewable energy on regional level. The project will also allow refinement of different technologies of energy production from wind, sun and biomass.
The project will take insight into conditions facilitating as well as impeding development of renewable energy sources in field of strategic planning on regional level, legislation, support of job market development, technology transfer, innovation and finance.
Fourteen partners from all over Europe are currently engaged in RENREN. At present some regions are more advanced in terms of renewable energy sources nevertheless.
