PhD students and Italian study tour
Our foreign partner in transnational project was KEO company, which specializes in realization of ecological projects, especially in implementation of high tech solutions in passive building.
At first day, PhD students represented by Joanna Lik, Magdalena Łysek, Sylwia Walczak and Andrzej Klimek were divided in to two groups. First group headed to KEO headquarters in Recconigi – Piemont region, where they participated in workshops. PhD students presented their conception of polish passive house (elaborated during the project). After presentation discussion with Italian partners took place, which allowed enhancing passive house conception by additional technical features proposed by experts from KEO. In the second part of the workshop PhD students discussed energetic certification of the buildings in context of Polish, Italian and European legislation.
After the workshop all headed to Monasterolo, where KEO is building new passive house according to newest norms. On site PhD students had opportunity to familiarize with process of passive house development and building according to Italian standards. Moreover participants visited nearby lumber mill that specializes in producing materials for passive buildings.
Second group traveled to Environment Park, where they visited whole complex of 30 thousand square meters that is assigned for innovative companies offices and laboratories. It should be underlined that whole area is equipped with latest technologies in the field of renewable energy sources. Later second group headed to ENECOM where they could familiarize with production of elastic PV cells that are widely used in industry.
Second day of the visit all participants along with our Italian partner headed to SOLAREXPO in Verona. It is one of most important events in the field of solar energy usage.
