Study visit in Milan
On 29th June – 2nd July 2014 entrepreneurs from the Lodzkie Region participated in the benchmarking training in Milan. It was the last of the four foreign visits planned in the framework of the project "Integrated Programme for Modernisation of Textile and Clothing Sector of the Lodzkie Region", carried out by the Research and Innovation Center Pro-Akademia.
The training was held in collaboration with Promos – a special agency of the Chamber of Commerce in Milan, dedicated to the promotion of international activities.
The visited companies and institutions include, among others:
Material Connexion - the largest center of research and consultancy in the field of materials and innovative production processes; TINTUNITA Srl - wholesale fabrics center; Centro Tessile Serico - a nonprofit, public-private join stock company, offering support services of production activities in the textile-clothing system.
The participants of the training were impressed by the visit at Ratti Group, which is one of the leading international manufacturers of luxury fabrics and accessories for women, men and home furnishings. Ratti currently produces about six million meters of fabric a year, working with the most famous clothing brands (eg Louis Vuitton) and employs about eight hundred people.
The participants of the benchmarking training were twenty entrepreneurs representing companies from the textile and clothing sector in the Lodzkie Region. The training was held in "show-how" method. Past meetings were designed to deepen participants' knowledge training, and at the same time provide inspiration in what direction they could extend the profile of their business to increase the competitiveness on the Polish and international market.
