Success of Congress Lodzkie of Energy!
The II International Congress Lodzkie of Energy has come to an end. It has been an honour to receive our Polish and foreign guests. The diversity of their presentations made guests attend the Congress with interest and pleasure.
The Congress was opened by such personalities as: Ms. Elżbieta Królikowska-Kińska - Member of Parliament of Republic of Poland, Mr. Tomasz Trela -Vice President of the City of Lodz, Mr. Jacek Kaczorowski - President of PGE Mining and Conventional Power Generation SA, Mr. Jakub Mielczarek - Director a.i. of the Office of the Marshal of Lodz and Ms. Ewa Kochańska, President of Research and Innovation Centre Pro-Akademia.
Further parts of the first day of the Congress were the Plenary and Panel Sessions. The topics included issues such as E-mobility and low carbon transport, building energy-saving and solutions for distributed energy, funding opportunities for ecological investments and social impact of innovative energy production.
A lot of people were interested in participation at the Oxford Debate. Teams of students from the Medical University and from the University of Lodz (the winners), debated on the theme: “The choice of green technologies in the energy sector should not be decided by the economic reasons but above all by the safety of society”.
Second day of the Congress, was dedicated to study visits. Participants had the opportunity to learn the secrets of the functioning of the main points on the energy map of the Lodzkie region: in Belchatów, Poddębice, Uniejów, Rawa Mazowiecka, as well as in Łódź and Konstantynów Łódzki.
Members of Pro-Academy and foreign Congress guests had a meeting in the RES Technology Transfer Center during which they had opportunity to establish new cooperation agreements and new contacts. Visitors had also chance to see new RES TTC headquarter and get some information about development plans for the future.
On the last day lectures were devoted to innovation in lighting and the idea of the International Year of Light. As a final part of the Congress the Lodzkie International Energy Fair took place, where visitors had occasion to admire the offer and products of companies from Lodzkie region, specialized in energy industry.
