Project status: | finished |
Topic: | Sustainable Energy |
Aim of the project: | The aim of the project is to implement a product innovation: a carport, made of wood-based materials, integrated with the electric vehicle charging system using PV cells and advanced energy storage technologies. |
About the project
The project covers developing a conceptual design, creating a prototype technical solution, enabling the inclusion of a small family business specializing in woodworking and furniture production to offer a new product based on a structure made of wood-based materials: a carport connected to the point of charging electric vehicles with solar energy. As part of the project, RIC Pro-Akademia will develop and supply an innovative technical solution - a unique carport made of wood-based biodegradable materials with zero carbon footprint along with a prototype management and energy control system, energy bank and installation for powering electric cars with energy from RES installations or from the power grid. The prototype solution will be tested on a group of future users: 3 spa towns: Ustroń Zdrój, Uniejów, Ciechocinek and 3 physical persons, users of electric cars. As a result of the project, the company will introduce a product unknown on the Polish market, which is an innovation at the company level and at the national level. Carport together with an integrated charging system for electric cars will be part of shaping landscape architecture. Due to the fact that it will be made of wood-based materials it will be adapted to use in conditions of increased aesthetic and image requirements, e.g. in spa towns.
