Aim of the project: | To develop a new product for an entrepreneur: a modular interface and chamber for simultaneous testing of surface and thermal properties in controlled gas environments, customizable by users of the product. |
About the project
The purpose of the project is to implement a new product – a modular interface and chamber for simultaneous studies of surface and thermal properties in controlled gas atmospheres.
During the examination of liquids surface properties, such as contact angle or interfacial tensions, the possibility to measure these parameters in controlled gas atmospheres and at various temperatures is an important functionality required by customers. In order to respond to this market demand, an interface for automated goniometers – optical measuring instruments – will be developed. In order to enable the user of the goniometer to create the required laboratory conditions, a special chamber will be developed to enable:
- temperature setting,
- creating of the required gas atmosphere,
- inserting a sample into a predetermined gas atmosphere.
A simple and intuitive interface will be created in order to control the selected temperature and to rinse the chamber with the selected gas mixture.
The project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Smart Growth Operational Program, Measure 2.3.2 Vouchers for innovation for SMEs.
